The Art of Spiritual Warfare For The Last Days

This book is for everyday Christians–the ones who get up early, go to work or school, raise families, pay bills, and still choose to live fully for Jesus. It is not only for apostles, pastors, or “super Christians.” If you have been mocked, overlooked, or sidelined because you take Jesus seriously, this is written for you. You need the nine gifts in your workplace, your family, and real spiritual warfare–not Sunday only. You are the salt and light where God planted you. The gifts still work when you are at your worst, when it is falling apart, and when ungodly people surround you. Walk in both worlds. Be balanced. At the job or the kitchen table tomorrow, you are the church. Stay planted. This is the way.

Chapters: Chapter One: It Gets Real – Spiritual Warfare; Chapter Two: Faith, Works, and Two Worlds

Yes. Paul taught the gifts for the gathering; this book insists they are not locked in a sanctuary. You are the temple of clay. The gifts function in your everyday work life–not only when godly people surround you or everything is perfect. They operate when you are at your worst, when it is falling apart, and when ungodly people surround you. You do not need a glory cloud on the clock. You do need maturity: respect the room, follow workplace rules, and do not let your flesh break out loud. That is not quenching the Spirit. At work, stay professional while you listen. If He says speak, speak in their language. If He says be still, be still.

Chapters: Chapter Two: Faith, Works, and Two Worlds; Chapter Three: The 1st Gift to Activate – The Gift of Faith; Chapter Four: The 2nd Gift to Activate – The Word of Wisdom

In this teaching the sequence is not random. The Gift of Faith activates first. The Holy Spirit speaks the creative language of God into your spirit and creates power, authority, and confidence so the other gifts can wake. Then the Word of Wisdom–the map of God’s hidden plans, when to engage and when to wait. Then the Word of Knowledge–the facts and the skill to work that environment. Then Discerning of Spirits–what spirit is behind what is happening. Then the gift required for the work: healing, miracles, prophecy, tongues, interpretation. Faith alone does not heal or prophesy. The gifts work in combination, each still distinct. On a hard shift or a hard night at home: quiet yourself, ask if it is Him, then walk Faith, Wisdom, Knowledge, Discerning of Spirits, then the gift the moment needs.

Chapters: Chapter Three: The 1st Gift to Activate – The Gift of Faith; Chapter Four: The 2nd Gift to Activate – The Word of Wisdom; Chapter Five: The 3rd Gift to Activate – The Word of Knowledge; Chapter Six: The 4th Gift to Activate – The Gift of Discerning of Spirits

No. And you are not being shamed if you were taught that. Chapter Two says holiness-as-withdrawal emptied schools, jobs, and government, and the vacuum got filled. Jeremiah 29 still stands: seek the peace of the city where He carried you. Build. Plant. Participate. Faith without works is dead. If you will not engage where God placed you, the gifts will not flow as they should. True separation in Paul is from believers who claim Christ and live in sin–not from the unbelieving world you would have to leave earth to avoid. Stay planted as salt and light. At work or on campus, take dominion where you already are. Then the gifts have somewhere to flow. Be balanced.

Chapters: Chapter Two: Faith, Works, and Two Worlds

The Word of Wisdom reveals the hidden plans of God–the mysteries–and shows you how to proceed. You see what will take place and how, like looking at a map: when to act, when to wait, when to be still and know that He is God. It is not human cleverness. Human wisdom has a place on earth; it cannot run the spiritual realm. This gift operates in both worlds. It often feels like connecting the dots, an “Ah Ha–that’s the plan.” Do not add a sentence God did not give. Do not let your flesh get loud when the map arrives in a hallway. At work, Wisdom may choose the moment, the place, and whether you are even assigned to speak. Stay in conversation with the Holy Spirit. This is the way.

Chapters: Chapter Four: The 2nd Gift to Activate – The Word of Wisdom

Wisdom shows the plan. Knowledge is the second part of understanding: facts and information about a person or environment–spiritual or practical–plus the skills to work it. It can familiarize you with a process, a piece of equipment, or someone you just met, and impart ability so the work can be done. Human knowledge from study alone cannot be applied to the spiritual realm. This gift can. Ask, “Holy Spirit, what is required of me? I am listening.” Then check your work. Do not invent information and call it a download. On the clock or at the kitchen table, Knowledge puts your hands to what Wisdom revealed. Faith, then Wisdom, then Knowledge, then Discerning of Spirits, then the gift needed.

Chapters: Chapter Five: The 3rd Gift to Activate – The Word of Knowledge

This is not the natural faith you were born with–the everyday trust that a plane will fly. Natural faith cannot operate in the spiritual realm or wake spiritual gifts. The Gift of Faith is the first gift to activate. The Holy Spirit creates in you the authority and confidence that activate the others. Faith alone does not heal, prophesy, or work a miracle. It is not blind trust. It is knowing He has already checked the path, even when you are not in control. It may happen with no worship set and no glory cloud on the way to work. Quiet yourself. Ask if it is Him. If He says don’t move, don’t move. If He says go, go. Faith without works is dead. Believe and act.

Chapters: Chapter Three: The 1st Gift to Activate – The Gift of Faith

Healing in this book means restore and make whole–body, mind, spirit, relationships, and, in this teaching, even land, water, and what human hands have built. Rapha: to heal. The Gifts of Healing cross from the spiritual realm into the natural. Medicine, time, and the body’s repair are real and God-given; they cannot cross into the spiritual realm. Wait for the Holy Spirit. Do not pick a fight He did not assign. Do not make a scene at work. Do not touch when it would confuse or compromise. Speak in their language, not church jargon. Go only as far as He and their faith will go. Sometimes you will feel warmth. Often you will feel nothing. Feelings are not the proof. Obedience is. In a clinic, office, or living room: ask for a window, pray, finish the work.

Chapters: Chapter Seven: The 5th Gift – The Gifts of Healing

A miracle here is not luck and not a last-second sports play. It is the creative word of God–the breath that makes something exist that was not there. Desperation, compassion, and glorifying God may accompany a miracle; they do not define what a miracle is. You do not need a revival tent. The gift works in ordinary life: empty jars, not enough for the people in front of you, an instruction that looks impractical. Faith still goes first, then Wisdom, then Knowledge, then Discerning of Spirits, then the Gift of Miracles. Use what is in the house. Obey. Involve what you have. At home or at work when the clock and the cupboard are both loud, do not wait for a special holy building. Be balanced while you watch Him work.

Chapters: Chapter Eight: The 6th Gift – The Gift of Miracles

No. Do not chase mediums. This book teaches that familiar spirits rehearse what is already in motion and dress it up as foresight. That is deception, not the Holy Spirit. The Gift of Prophecy translates God’s language into the hearer’s language for strengthening, encouragement, and comfort. It can warn or prepare. You do not need a pulpit or a worship set. You need to be available. Speak the word the way it was given. Do not add a sentence to soothe your feelings. If you cannot control your volume, that is flesh, not fire. At a desk, in a carpool, or in a kitchen, prophecy is their vernacular–not stock tips, not fortune-telling. Available is enough. A platform is not required.

Chapters: Chapter Nine: The 7th Gift – The Gift of Prophecy

This gift distinguishes what is of God, what is human, and what is demonic–including hidden intent and the backstory. It is not suspicion, gossip, or “I just have a bad feeling” with no Holy Spirit. People are not your enemy. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Use it in meetings, family conflict, and ordinary choices–not only at the altar. It helps you see who is driving the moment and whether to speak, wait, or walk away. Stay professional. Do not announce a spirit over the break room. Sequence still holds: Faith, Wisdom, Knowledge, then Discerning of Spirits. In the last days this is not optional. Put on the armor. Stay kind. Stay awake. Test what you discern.

Chapters: Chapter Six: The 4th Gift to Activate – The Gift of Discerning of Spirits; Chapter One: It Gets Real – Spiritual Warfare

Tongues in this teaching is a private language with the Holy Spirit. You utter mysteries to God. It edifies you. It is not a display for the open office. Jesus said to pray in secret. In the gathering, tongues without interpretation does not build the church. Some will say the gifts ceased. Do not argue. Live it with humility. Do not cast pearls where they will be trampled. On a commute, in a bedroom, or with earbuds in a study hall, keep it personal unless He orders it otherwise. Ask also to interpret, so your mind is not unfruitful. Faith, Wisdom, Knowledge, and Discerning of Spirits still wake as mysteries begin to be understood. Maturity is not quenching the Spirit. It is quenching the flesh.

Chapters: Chapter Ten: The 8th Gift – The Gift of Speaking in Tongues

Interpretation makes the unknown known–spoken or written–so you and others can understand. Pray with the spirit and with understanding. This gift is more than “someone spoke a tongue on Sunday.” In this teaching it can interpret wisdom, knowledge, dreams, signs, even what does not fit your culture. God’s language is not bound to vocal cords; interpretation lets your mind catch up. Do not force a meaning He did not impart. Convey the intent so the hearer can act, in the language of the people in the room. A message you cannot read, a dream in the night, a document, a tongue in a small group: Faith, then Wisdom, then Knowledge, then Discerning of Spirits, then interpretation. Distinct gifts. One flow. Then obey.

Chapters: Chapter Eleven: The 9th Gift – The Gift of Interpretation of Tongues

Four ways in this book. If you are born again, you have received the Holy Spirit–the first step. Some already have gifts and let them go dormant; they are not taken away. Stir them up. Second, divine revelation: God assigns a task and the gifts to do it. Third, laying on of hands and prophecy spoken over you–do not neglect what was imparted. Fourth, desire: ask, seek, knock, and do not quit. Practically: worship in secret, talk with God anywhere, take in Scripture for joy, walk with people who also want the gifts. This is not a label on you. It is a life of asking and obeying at work and at home. Fan the flame. Welcome home.

Chapters: Receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

The days of waiting for the battle to reach the door are past. Put on the whole armor of God and live balanced in both worlds. Truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word as sword. In this teaching the nine gifts are garments under that armor. The sword is close combat. The bow is long-range: prayer and faith that strike before the threat arrives. Be ready in season and out of season–body, mind, work, and spirit. Do not live on the sidelines. Do not run; the enemy also attacks from behind. At your job or in your city, stay planted, take dominion, and advance. The gifts are weapons. Use them with maturity. This is the art of spiritual warfare.
